About Us

Early Beginnings

Our name came about as a play on another local restaurant, the Ship Inn, where most of early recipes were adopted from. What started as a small food cart in 2017 has grown into a staple of Pacific Northwest cuisine.

Supporting Local Industries

Ship Out prides itself in supporting the local Pacific Northwest Communities wherever possible to ensure a fresh, high-quality product. From seasonal spring chinook fresh off the boat to the iconic Willapa Bay oysters, we source our seafood products locally whenever possible.

Much of the artwork that lines the walls of the restaurant are also for sale and is hand-crafted with lots of TLC by local artists.

So when you dine or shop at the Ship Out, you're not just enjoying a great meal, but you're also supporting local industries.

The Dining Experience

Ship Out isn’t like other food carts, where you have to get food to go. Next door, an old nursery has been transformed into a lively seating area with picnic tables, oak barrels with tabletops, and wooden barstools, offering customers a relaxed yet eclectic dining experience for both tourists and locals. On warm summer days, the roof retracts to allow fresh air in and welcome visiting birds, while on cold, rainy days, several heaters keep the area warm and comfortable. As mentioned before, artwork of all shapes and sizes lines the walls, and a fountain in the middle provides ambient nature sounds, creating a boutique-like atmosphere while you enjoy your meal.
